Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Go **** yourself, prick." Sin transforms into a shield that surrounds Gale, except for the wall behind him.
((Hah! :P)) |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
One makes it up to the top of the castle on the roof. He looks down on everybody, and sees they're all, even Gale, under Laena's spell. He figures it's a good time to take aim. He takes out his staff. "Been a while, hasn't it, buddy? Well, let's see if you still trust me." He points it down on Nyx and mutters a few words. The end of the staff explodes and a large beam is heads toward Nyx.

Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Rikali, still wandering around the castle, is plauged by terrifying memories of the past. As the mix with reality, the demon begins to sink into madness. Her wandering path eventually takes her to a window, in view of the current battle. She stares out the window for a moment, her mind in reality. As One's staff erupts in a beam, reality becomes memory again.
"I'll attack from the air," the blue dragon, Blueflare to some, Riki to others, says to Katayk. But her demon love doesn't hear her. As she launches into the air to attack Sedia from behind, Katayk begins to prepare for a final, powerful blast of energy. Fate has it that Riki attacks as the blast is released. Sedia escapes to safety. "Riki! Move!" Katayk screams, but the words are lost. The blast hits the dragon dead-on. She falls from the skies. The scene shifts to a small, demon girl playing in her father, a wizard's, lab. The little girl, Rikali as a child, wasn't supposed to be in the lab, and she was thrilled at her own cleverness to sneak in. As she looks around, she spies a fist sized red stone sitting on a table. "How pretty." Riki's hand reaches out to grab the stone at the same moment the dragon draws its last breath. As the stone absorbs the child's soul, the dragon's senses the empty body nearby, a body that would serve her purpose. A demon girl to love a demon boy. The soul takes the body of the girl, saves her memories and mind from the red stone, along with a part of her spirit. The child's mind screams in fright and fear, a soundless scream that embraces her, but brings no warmth, only the eye of a dragon. Rikali moans and begins to run, leaving the castle and heading for the cafe. ((whee, Riki history!)) |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Nyx seems even more amused by One's incoming attack. He raises his right arm as if to block it, then strikes it into the ground where it sizzles into the grass harmlessly. Then he spins the revolver in his hand, catches it so it's pointed directly at One, and fires.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Laena frowns at Nyx and, taking a deep breath, raises her voice to a much louder level, not amused that he isn't affected.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale remains behind his shield, once he'd recovered, he'd change Sin and attack Nyx.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Suddenly, Nyx appears to be in pain and his eyes widen in surprise. "W-What is this?" He tightens his grip around the revolver and tries to point it at Laena, but his hand moves as if a two-hundred pound weight was tied to it.
Meanwhile, behind Nyx, the soldiers appear to have completely lost it, staggering and hunching over, clutching their ears desperately. |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
She turns to Gale, and taps the shield with her staff. It shatters upon impact.. She then gestures to Nyx and his army. "Target practice for later on, perhaps?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale looks at Laena. "You're a Siren, I won't completely rob you of your nature...kill the soldiers."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"I do not intend to kill anybody, Gale Onarav. That is your job, if you wish to survive your dilemma." She turns and walks towards Nyx.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale snorts. "Fine by me." He doesn't notice her walk toward Nyx, and looks at the solders. "Hope you had a good life boys, cause it's over right...now." Gale moves through the group with Sin at a fast pace. Making quick, clean slashes. Soon Gale is at another end, and all the soldiers are on the grass in bloody pieces.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
A smile spreads across her face as she is now arm's length away from Nyx. "You are a bit stronger-willed than the other men I have faced over thousands of years... It's a wonderful feeling knowing that there is someone who can fight me.." She drapes an arm around his neck.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale notices Laena and frowns. "Just what the hell are you doing?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
The Fury brother struggles to pull the hammer back on his revolver again, but his thumb won't budge. He's completely frozen in place. His eyes dart around, panicked. "D-Don't you touch me filthy S-Siren..."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Filthy? Perhaps.. Say the word and I am all yours.." Her hand moves to his cheek, and she glances at Gale. "I am doing what is in my nature, as you asked me to, Gale Onarav."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale scowls. "I ment killing humans not hitting on him!"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
She turns away from Nyx, looking at Gale. "Why.. Are you jealous...?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale doesn't seem willing to directly answer the question. "Are you commited or am I just temporary?
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
A smile tugs at her lips, and Laena steps away from Nyx. "I am commited.."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale nods and walks infront of Nyx. "I'll just need to cut off your head this time." Gale kicks Nyx in the face, intending on taking revenge for what happend in New Myria.

Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Another figure watches the fight from the relative safety of the castle. He mumbles an old verse to himself as he watches the fight outside. Truly, he had not expected to see such power.
Still, the arrogant one makes an interesting character study. ...Bodies fill the fields I see, hungry heroes end... No one to play soldier now, no one to pretend running blind through killing fields, bred to kill them all Victim of what said should be a servant `til I fall... |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Nyx grunts and falls onto his back, but seems to be regaining control now that the Siren's singing has stopped. He picks his head up and spits at Gale. "Not today, my friend." Flames surround Nyx and burn for a moment, then dissipate into the air, leaving no one in their place.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale watches Nyx disappear as One's fireballs crash into the ground, creating fires around Gale. The Abbis looks at the flames in something of a trance for a moment before turning around to return to his castle.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
One makes his way down from the top of the rooftop back into the castle. He approaches Gale. "Who was that? Another one of Fury's brothers? Jeez.. no wonder Fury never spoke to me about his family..."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Fury Two. Or Nyx to be more specific. I suppose 'Fury' was just a project name Rand gave them." Gale walks through the main entrance and starts to make his ways through the almost maze-like castle.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
She watches Gale leave. "Do I receive no thanks, Gale Onarav? Not even a farewell..?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale turns. He made a very odd facial expression, it almost seemed like a nervous smile but his hair covered his face as he stared at the grass for a moment. "Eh...thanks for helping me, Laena. I assumed you were coming inside, thus why I didn't address you." Strange enough, Gale doesn't sound particularly aggitated or angry. Suprisingly, Gale almost felt guilty over it. This being a feeling he didn't really experience, conveying it came out akward.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
She smiles. "Are you inviting me into your home, Gale Onarav?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale, who seems to grow more uncomfortable as the conversation drags on, once again doesn't answer the question directly. "What does it sound like to you?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
She straightens and walks over to Gale, past him and into his castle without a word. Clearly she has interpreted this as an invitation.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
The Abbis is rather relieved that the conversation is over, and he quickly reverts back to his old self. He walks in quietly. "I'm getting annoyed with all the bloody trespassers. I best find another means of defense."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
A slight laugh comes from Laena as she continues walking. "You are an Abbis, perhaps you have some sort of spell to bewitch your castle..."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"I've done it to a degree. Mostly old weapons, anything modern doesn't fit well with the rest of the castle. I also have a few trap doors, hallways that go on forever, et cetera. I was thinking more like sentinels, however."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"There is not some sort of incantation that will cause the castle to disappear from the eyes of a wanderer? I find that hard to believe, Gale Onarav." She stops in front of a doorway, and opens the door. A vacant bedroom is inside. "Hmm.. I believe this will suit me just fine." She enters and closes the door behind her.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale blinks, somewhere between amused and confused by how fast Laena changed her train of thought. "I never remember there being more beds...not that I ever looked. It'll be dawn soon anyway." Gale starts to walk to the kitchen, decieding he deserved a glass of wine before he did anything else. Gale opened a cabinet and took out a bottle of red wine (which seems to be the majority of Gale's selection of drinks) and pours himself a glass.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
in his hiding place, Hayate sighs. He's fairly certain he's looked everwhere that the current inhabitants aren't and still can't find what he's looking for.
It appears I have two options... hm... well... there's all the time in the world. And this Gale seems an interesting character. Hayate opens the window and drops silently to the ground outside. Looking back quickly, he heads for the walls |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale swirls his glass of wine and stares into the rolling red. He wondered how often her drank Red Wine. ..When you don't know how often it usually means to much for your own good. Or that would be the case if he was human. Abbis were stronger then humans in more ways then one. For one, excessive amouns of alchohal didn't slowly murder his liver, luckly for him. Abbis could also survive much more dangerous wounds, as he also demonstrated tonight. The one thing Humans DID have that Abbis didn't was something most Abbis would scoff at, but time and time again it turned the tide for the simple race. It was their ability to overcome every logical odd against them if you backed them against a wall. Their primitiveness gave them strength. Primitiveness..., Abbis were always advanced. They were always superior to those primates, but those idiots never respected the Abbis. Nor acknowledge the race that compared to them were gods. Except for those few anomolies here and there. Humans (by some miracle that even Gale does not understand) can use magic. Then again, magic was merely a human term to things they didn't understand. To Abbis, magic was science. Of course humans don't know better and confuse the terms into two seperate things. Regardless, a few of them managed to learn some of magic, which was rather impressive for the race, but they hardly harnassed it to it's full potential. Which is probally more fortunate, especially since the humans kill more of their own then any other race. There were always those gifted, destined, children of fate who manage to become very skilled in the art, to complete the will of whatever God or fate or essence that governs existence, if one existed at all. Case and point, the ones such as Ayn, Fury and Cloud. However, Fury (or "Phoenix", since it seems that is his real name) could hardly be considered human. What Phoenix was, Gale wasn't totally sure. Cloud was at least at one time human, even then Gale could never kill him. They managed to become partners of sorts and Cloud proved to be a very useful comrade. He has now become one with a demon it seems, but his human emotions have turned into something of an inconvenience. Then there was Ayn, Gale's nemesis, who ironically was one of Gale's more trusted friends over a decade ago. It wasn't her almost alien skill and abilities that made hate brew in Gale's hurt. It was something deeper, something he found totally justifiable for all of his "crimes" against her and her friends. Regardless, she was far to talented then she should be. She may be Gaia, but that didn't add up. In an odd way Gale was glad, at least his most hated enemy could attempt to compete with him. Then another human came into his mind. Someone, thought not his worst enemy, reserved a special place in Gale's heart to be loathed. Proffesor Rand. Who just happend to be connected to Ayn. Trouble comes it twos it seems. He was by far the most dangerous human Gale had ever encountered, Gale might have admired him if the circumstances had been diffrent. Thirst brought Gale out of his endless train of thought, he lifted the drink to his lips and sipped it. He looked out the window and saw the sun creeping over the tree's, another sleepless night. He missed sleep, not that he needed it badly. He could just use a spell on himself if he needed to, but natural sleep was just more...peaceful. Gale dismissed these thoughts as well and continued to sip his wine.

Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
An hour or so has passed, and Laena appears at the doorway to the kitchen. "Do you have anything to drink other than wine?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"You didn't sleep very long. It's possible I have something, good luck finding it though." Gale finishes another glass of wine, making about 4 empty glasses on the table.
